My two cents view on independent directors!…

The spate of corporate fraud and financial solvency issues facing listed companies in Singapore followed by mass resignations of the independent directors at the first sign of trouble citing inability to discharge their duties leaves something to be desired. There have been many articles in the newspapers and TV on this matter but the crux remains that independent directors are supposed to protect and look after the interest of minority shareholders.
