Raffles Edu H1 net profit falls 45% to $11.9m!

On 10/Feb, Singapore shares end lower Thursday as with inflation concerns drag the prices down especially the property stocks.

STI ended lower at 3103.39 (1.5%) with LOW VOL of 1.46 billion shares traded compared with 1.42 billion shares Wednesday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 408 to 120. Today STI went through another heavy selling pressure on the overall market as critical support at 3120 was breached.

Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. (Z74.SG) 3Q net profit gain marginally to S$998.2 million compared to S$990.7 million a year ago due to improve growth in revenue for Singapore and Australia, though contributions from India and Indonesia fall.

Keppel Corp. Ltd. (BN4.SG) has won a contract worth US$440 million to build two jackup rigs.
