Sembcorp Marine 4Q net profit fell 19.5% to S$239.4 million!

On 23/Feb, Singapore shares end lower Wednesday on heighten tensions in Libya as leader Moammar Gadhafi vowed to remain in the country “until the end.” He ordered his forces to crush any uprising and warned protesters that they will be executed and vowed to fight to his last.

STI ended lower at 3001.85 (0.6%) with HIGH VOL of 2.54 billion shares traded compared with 2.06 billion shares Tuesday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 327 to 172. Today STI remains under fire as investors throw off their risky stocks and cash in for safety.
