Singapore Airlines Increase Fuel Surcharge!

On 09/Mar, Singapore shares end lower Wednesday as investors took profits on recent gains from the Singapore market.

STI ended lower at 3092.90 (0.4%) with LOW VOL of 1.13 billion shares traded compared with 1.21 billion shares Tuesday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 229 to 224.  STI pullback slightly as investors merely took profits on particular stocks and not the overall market selling.

Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd. (A46.SG) 50-50 joint venture with Heineken N.V. (HEIA.NV) plans to sell their 21.4% stake worth CNY1.08 billion in Kingway Brewery Holdings Ltd. (0124.HK).

Olam International Ltd. (O32.SG) reported that their cocoa stocks in Ivory Coast, where political unrest has caused uncertainty about commodity exports, are “securely stored” and that it continues to supply its customers from other origins.
