On 11/Mar, Singapore shares end lower Friday as Beijing reported higher-than-expected inflation data and followed by powerful earthquake in Japan.

STI ended lower at 3043.49 (1%) with LOW VOL of 1.3 billion shares traded compared with 997 million shares Thursday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 423 to 84.  Today STI under go massive selling pressure though the trading volume is low due to school holiday.
