Keppel Corp 1Q Net Profit Rose 7.8% to S$346 Mln!

On 20/April, Singapore shares end higher Wednesday driven by good earnings report session on Wall Street overnight.

STI ended higher at 3165.80 (1.3 %) with regular VOL of 1.46 billion shares traded compared with 1.08 billion shares Tuesday. In the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers 352 to 162. Today market rally on stronger volume as investors buy on potential stocks that are expected to report good earnings in this session.

United Overseas Bank (U11.SG) plans to sell a three-year bond worth A$300 million at 95 to 98 basis points over the Bank Bill Swap rate.

After market close

Keppel Corp. (BN4.SG) 1Q net profit rose 7.8% to S$346 million compared with S$321 million a year earlier booasted by improvement in margins in its marine and offshore division and lower expenditure as revenue remained flat.
