SMRT 4Q net profit rose 50% to S$34m!

On 29/April, Singapore shares end lower Friday as investors booked profits ahead of the long Labor Day weekend.

STI ended lower at 3179.86 (0.2%) with LOW VOL of 1.03 billion shares traded compared with 1.03 billion shares Thursday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 302 to 137. Today investors continue to take profit as they do not wish to hold any positions over the long weekend.

DBS Group Holdings Ltd. (D05.SG) 1Q net profit rise 52% to S$807 million compared to S$532 million a year earlier due to growth in non-interest income and modest improvement in net interest income.

Indofood Agri Resources 1Q net profit rose 81 per cent to 734 billion rupiah (US$85.5 million) boosted by higher selling prices and sales volumes.
