I have been asked by the media and investors whether the 2011 Singapore General Election have any impact on the Singapore stock market....??!! Tuesday, 3 May, 2011 11:20 AM Posted by Kevin Scully I have been asked recently by both the media and investors whether the Singapore General Election 2011 will have any impact on the Singapore stock market.  My answer has been no......but let me put this into some perspective. First we must try and establish the various possible outcomes.  The first is 87:0 in favour of the rulling party now that Chiam and Low have left their respective strongholds to contest in GRCs.  If this occurs - no impact on the status quo and the Singapore stock market is likely to treat the 2011 Singapore General Election as a non-event.
