NOL 1Q Net Losses US$10m!

On 13/May, Singapore shares end higher Friday boosted by positive overnight gains in Wall Street.

STI ended higher at 3163.68 (1.1%) with HIGH VOL of 1.32 billion shares traded compared with 1.15 million shares Thursday. In the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers 283 to 161. Despite STI gains 1.1% today but the market breadth is still relatively weak as investors merely focus on blue chips

Wilmar International Ltd. (F34.SG) 1Q net profit fell 3.7% to US$386.7 million, compared to US$401.4 million a year earlier as profit in its sugar segment partially offset fair value losses on embedded derivatives of the firm’s convertible bonds.
