More Data on Value/Size Effects in HK and SG

In last week’s PDT Notes I looked at the Value/Size effect for May 2011 in Singapore  and found some interesting things. Today I have generalized the program to accommodate all the data I have been collecting since Feb 2011 and to also test HK at the same time. Here are the results.

Let’s look at it by country (if you read the fine print, the top two charts in each file are for Singapore, the bottom two charts are for Hong Kong):

Singapore:

  • Feb: A down month. Midcaps seem to have suffered most, small and large caps about equal. Mid-PE stocks did best, also with not much difference between high and low PE stocks. The highest PE decile did about 1% worse than everyone else.
