KT&T’s Q2 net profit up 28% to S$17.64 million!

On 19/July, Singapore shares ended higher as prices rebounded strongly on the positive European markets.

STI ended lower at 3096.12 (0.6%) with HIGH VOL of 1.52 billion shares traded compared with 1.25 billion shares Monday. In the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers 302 to 225. Today STI merely rebounded on selective stocks but the overall market breadth remains relatively weak.

CapitaMall Trust (C38U.SG) 2Q distribution per unit rose 3.1% to 2.36 Singapore cents compared to a year ago.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) Ltd. (BS6.SG) expects “not less than” 30% growth in net profit in the first half of the year when it announces its earnings on Aug. 11. The company is on schedule to meet its target of delivering 65 vessels in 2011, compared with 50 last year
