SMRT 1Q Net Profit Fell 9% to S$34.8m!

On 27/July, Singapore shares ended higher though investors remain concern on the U.S. debt issues.

STI ended higher at 3193.54 (0.2%) with HIGH VOL of 1.72 billion shares traded compared with 1.39 billion shares Tuesday. In the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers 304 to 222. Today STI rally is mainly fuel by Genting SP as the market sentiment continue to be weak and investors are not willing to buy further up.

CDL Hospitality Trusts 2Q net profit rose 31.3 per cent to S$31.7 million compared to S$24.1 million a year earlier due to contributions from recently acquired Studio M Hotel and a one-off S$3.3 million property tax refund.
