STI ended lower at 2796.22 (0.9%) with HIGH VOL of 2.62 billion shares traded compared with 2.52 billion shares Wednesday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 502 to 134. Today STI continue to extend its plunge into a seventh straight session due to persistent fear.
