On 12/Aug, Singapore shares ended higher though investors remain cautious amid this week’s turmoil in markets

STI ended higher at 2850.59 (1.9%) with LOW VOL of 1.87 billion shares traded compared with 2.62 billion shares Thursday. In the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers 399 to 200. There are short covering today in the STI market as the market sentiment remains relatively weak.
