SIA raises share awards to adjust for lower value after special div!

On 19/Aug, Singapore shares ended lower as investors reacted to Wall Street’s tumble and weak U.S. economic data overnight.

STI ended lower at 2733.63 (3.2%) with LOW VOL of 1.72 billion shares traded compared with 1.24 billion shares Thursday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 520 to 83. Today STI undergo board-based heavy selling pressure as investors en-cash stocks for safety.

Singapore Airlines Limited said that with the payment of the special dividend of 80 cents per ordinary share on 18 August 2011, its board compensation and industrial relations committee had approved certain adjustments to the conditional share awards.
