If one look at the 2 biggest gambling cities by revenue, namely Macau and Las Vegas, we would realise that gambling, crime and sleaze do go hand in hand. According to latest statistics, Singapore i believe has overtakened Las Vegas in terms of revenue due to the outstanding performance of both RWS and MBS. Having integrated resorts in the heart of our Central business district worries me. It does give the impression that our government will pursue GDP growth at all costs, even at cost of moral decay of our citizens. Just look around the heartland malls to see how many new Maxicash pawnshops have sprang up recently?
