My Malaysia Stock Portfolio End August 2011

I have been posting quite a bit about Singapore stocks so I think it’s time to do a post on my portfolio based in Malaysia. For my Malaysian readers and anybody interested in investing in Malaysian equities, my portfolio here can serve as a guide to building a low risk, growing Passive Income portfolio in Malaysia. I have not bought/sold any stocks, so the portfolio is still the same right now. Some people ask me why I would invest in Bursa Malaysia stocks, the reason is simple; I get to diversify into industries not available in Singapore like cigarettes, multi-level marketing and the consumer stocks which deliver essential goods to the much larger population in Malaysia. My Malaysian portfolio also has a lower concentration in REITs compared to my Singapore portfolio with the only REIT invested being Sunway REIT.
