What got me really fired up yesterday was the announcement of the Kindle Fire, a 7 inch Android based Duo Core Tablet by Amazon meant for reading books.
For investors out there, take a look at Amazon’s share price. Its no different from Apple.
That is because Amazon gets it that this is a service game. Its basically a retail operating system like iTunes.
Just spam cheap hardware that is loss leading and make it up through retail.
At $199 and $79, it is so cheap that people who was deliberating on other Android Tablets for readers will choose to get this.
Game theory will mean that other Android, HP and Blackberry tablet prices will be adjusted.
Watch for Barnes and Noble to come up with a similar price but better device.
