Market Outlook (01/10/11): Worst Quarter Since Lehman Brothers 2008: Recession Likely!

In last week, STI falls 24 points from the opening of 2699 and close lower at 2675. A black candle sticks with upper/lower shadow indicates the volatile of the stock market for the past week.

Key Economics Data report:

On Friday, the market closed the quarter on the dismal month of September and on the worst stock market quarter since the financial crisis in 2008. S&P 500 was off 0.4 % for the week to 1131, and for the quarter it is down 12.9%, its worst quarter since the fourth quarter of 2008.

In the coming week, Sept jobs report will be the most important item to watch in US while Europe continue to be a major source of headlines as European finance ministers meet Monday and Tuesday.
