SGX 1Q Net Profit Up 18% to S$87.5 million!

On 17/Oct, Singapore shares ended higher as investors turned bullish on the back of positive U.S. economic data released Friday.

STI ended higher at 2778.97 (1.3%) with regular VOL of 1.46 billion shares traded compared with 1.44 billion shares Friday. In the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers 360 to 120. Today STI continue to rally under heavy buying pressure as investors buy up the prospective stocks.

Singapore Exchange Ltd. (S68.SG) 1Q net profit rise 18% to S$87.5 million compared with S$74.2 million a year earlier due to stronger securities, derivatives and depository services earnings.

Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust (A17U.SG) 2Q distribution per unit rose 2.4% to 3.38 Singapore cents per unit compared with 3.30 cents a year earlier mainly due to the completion of investment projects.
