SIA 2Q net profit falls 49% to S$194.2m!

On 03/Nov, Singapore shares ended lower as investors sell on the possibility Greece may exit the eurozone.

STI ended lower at 2810.04 (0.9%) with regular VOL of 1.51 billion shares traded compared with 2.45 billion shares Wednesday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 303 to 138. Today STI undergo profit taking though most investors sidelined to await for more outcome from the Europe.

Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp. Ltd (O39.SG) 3Q net profit fall 10% to S$513 million compared with S$570 million a year earlier, on the back of weaker trading and insurance income.

Olam International Ltd said it has ‘very limited exposure’ to US brokerage firm MF Global, which filed for bankruptcy in the United States on Monday.
