Olam 1Q Net Profit Rose 15% To S$34.2m!

On 14/Nov, Singapore shares ended higher boast by stability in Europe after Italy picked a new prime minister and passed an austerity budge.

STI ended higher at 2830.14 (1.4%) with regular VOL of 1.40 billion shares traded compared with 1.51 billion shares Friday. In the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers 339 to 164. Today STI rally on relative huge buying pressure as investors regained confidence on the global economy.

Olam International Ltd. (O32.SG) 1Q net profit increase 15% to S$34.2 million from S$29.7 million a year earlier due to higher contributions from its food and industrial raw materials segments.
