Keppel Corp Secures US$809 Mln Contract From Sete Brasil!

On 22/Dec, Singapore shares ended lower as investors expect that the European Central Bank’s massive lending to euro-zone banks will not solve the region’s debt crisis.

STI ended lower at 2664.80 (0.3%) with LOW VOL of 426 million shares traded compared with 602 million shares Wednesday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 163 to 130. Today STI undergo slight profit taking as investors prefer to sideline ahead of the long holiday seasons.

Keppel Corp. (BN4.SG) has secured a contract worth approximately US$809 million from a unit of Sete Brasil Participações SA for the design and construction of a semi-submersible drilling rig.

Olam International Limited plans to buy a 75.2 per cent interest in Macao Commodities Trading SL (MCT) for US$20 million.

CapitaMalls Asia Limited has increased its investment in its wholly-owned subsidiary, CMA CapitaStar Pte Ltd, by $999,999.
