SGX securities turnover in December falls 41%!

On 04/Jan, Singapore shares ended higher as investors buy on an upbeat start to global equity markets,

STI ended higher at 2711.02 (0.8%) with regular VOL of 865.7 million shares traded compared with 922.3 million shares Tuesday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 174 to 168. Today rally is lack of conviction as market breadth is negative due to investors merely buying up the big cap.

TT International Ltd. (T09.SG) has signed a heads of agreement with private equity real estate firm Lucrum Capital to invest at least S$200 million to complete a warehouse retail project.

After market close

Singapore Exchange (SGX) securities turnover in December 2011 fell 41 per cent from a year ago to S$16.67 billion.
