Olam 2Q Net Profit Fell 11.6% To S$128.5M!

On 14/Feb, Singapore shares ended higher though investor remained cautious on uncertainty with the European economies.

STI ended higher at 2987.41 (0.4%) with LOW VOL of 2.11 billion shares traded compared with 1.96 billion shares Monday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 233 to 185. Although STI closed higher today but the market breadth was negative which affirms to the investors merely buying specific stocks but not overall market.

CapitaLand Ltd. (C31.SG) 4Q net profit fell 20% to S$476.6 million compared with S$596 million a year ago due to lower development income and portfolio gains.

After market close

Olam International Ltd. (O32.SG) 2Q net profit fell 11.6% to S$128.5 million from S$145.4 million a year earlier due to lower contributions from its industrial raw materials operations.
