In the first part of the video, Tse Yung Hoi, the deputy chief executive officer of Bank of China International Holdings Ltd and the chairman of BOCI-Prudential Asset Management Limited, tell us what lessons can be learnt from Japan's experience in internationalisation of the Japanese yen in the 1985 and the subsequent (negative) events that followed. He also maps out China's strategy in internationalisation of the Renminbi. In the second part of the video, he further elaborate on the importance of offshore centers for Reminibi. Although the Reminibi overseas volume is still largely concentrated in Hong Kong, Singapore may become a second offshore center and London a third.
