Today, I attended the Financial Planning Day. This was organized by FPAS and co-hosted by AFAS, IFPAS and SFSP. Attendees were practitioners and those working in the financial industry. I was given a free ticket. It was held at the NTUC Auditorium Level 7, NTUC Centre, One Marina Boulevard. This is a summary of the keynote speaker of the events (I jot down the notes by hand, so pardon me for any inaccuracies):
The first speaker was Ms Kimmis Pun who is the current President of FPAS. She said that the Financial Planning day was setup 3 years ago with associations like FPAS, SFSP, AFAS and IFPAS. This year, the focus was on practitioners. She mentioned about the challenges ahead: new era of responsibilities, new challenges and new benchmarks to be set by regulator end of this year.
