Here is an interesting research on people who had won lottery and its effects on their respective happiness/family life/work/etc:
The one thing I would like to highlight is the number of percentages of people who had won the lottery and spend all of their winnings within the 5 years they won. It shows that if people had no proper financial planning, their winnings might end up in a trash can afterall.
