Just For Thinking       More S-REIT in our portfolio when we retire???
S-REIT are known to issue rights by asking existing investors to cough back part of their past years received dividend income back to them for their growth. For retirees who have plenty of spare capital for investing, then no issue. They can easily continue their game of passive income from S-REIT.  But, for those retirees who have little or no more capital for investing to continue with their game and solely depending on this level of passive income for living expenses. It is a different ball game!   You are going to get diluted for not participating in each right issue going forward. The small compensation from selling right issues is not going to be enough to offset the drop in your personal level of passive income over long run. No? ...

I am 62 yrs old uncle living in HDB heartland who has achieved financial independence @ 56 and finally retired @ 60 from full-time job as employee on 1 Oct 2016. Single household income since 1995 with three children. Eldest son and daughter are now working and youngest son still in his 3nd year Uni in SUTD. I have been doing long-term investing and short-term trading in Singapore stock market only since Jan 2000 so I am that Panda or Koala in the investment world; but I am still surviving well in the wild.
