I have resisted aggregating trading sites because I’m afraid that their articles will overwhelm non trading ones. However, as of late I have been getting more requests which got me thinking. I do not have the numbers but I have a hunch that the number of traders are increasing steadily due to the many trading competitions and seminars. Hence, I decide that it would be a good time to start aggregating local trading sites and get my rusty old engine moving.

After some research, I have decided to create a brand new site instead of leveraging on TheFinance.sg because it will be easier to manage e.g. web hosting, new accounts ads etc. and each site can continue to grow in their own unique way. I can also create synergy by linking both sites to one aother via a banner. New features in the new site can be use when I revamp TheFinance.sg.

While the concept of the new site will be pretty similar, I will be adding additional features like:

  • Chat Room for traders
  • Mobile Friendly

Since this site is essential for you readers, feel free to share what you will like to see or have in this new trade site. I can’t promise to implement all due to cost and time, but I will definitely try to accommodate the ones with the most impact.

Other suggestions like domain name, fonts, colors etc are welcome too. Perhaps blue is too boring, or a white background is too plain?

For local blog owners with your own trading sites, I would like also like to hear from you as well as to aggregate your site. Drop me a note ya.

I will be keeping a project log at the end of this post as a way of pushing myself and also to garner as much feeback as possible. Please don’t be shy. :P

  • thetraderoom.com, thetraderhall.com, thetradehall.com. thetraderjournal.com – hmm.. seems kind of long though.

  • theactivetrader.com and theactivetrader.sg seems like a good name. Like me ask around and if engaging a copywriter will help.
  • http://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/aggregate/ seems like a good fit. It is reponsive,  easy to change its color and layout, has a mobile plugin and reasonable support at a affordable price.
  • Thinking of hiring a copywriter to write “About” and “Guest Post” page. Let me dig around for other sites “Guest Post” page. I remember reading one accepts only people who write about their own experience and not some reports or commentary.
