US Federal Reserves has scaled back its bonds-buying programme from US$85 billion per month to US$75 billion per month in its efforts to slowly taper the Quantitative Easing (QE). In addition to the above, the US Federal Reserves has committed that it will maintain low interest rates. So far, the Singapore stocks’ response to the tapering has been quite okay. I believe Jane Yellen will soon take the helm officially at the Federal Reserves. We should see how Jane Yellen taper the QE next and how the global stock markets including Singapore’s will respond.
