Kris Energy stock

Kris Energy stock went south by 27% to $0.86 on 13 January 2014 from $1.17 after Kris Energy company reported that it will not be proceeding with its well operations in Vietnam. To put it simply, Kris Energy is an oil exploration company and one of the wells that it has drilled in Vietnam does not yield oil. The Singapore stocks markets did not like the news and responded by pushing Kris Energy stock price south. Though, there has been an increasing “glam” factor tagged to oil and other resources (like gold) exploration companies, for example, Kris Energy, CNMC and LionGold; personally I do not like these stocks as I find that the sustainability of such businesses hinge on being able to locate these resources; these businesses are unlike other businesses which make their own products; I mean I prefer conventional and safer models of businesses.
