$100,000 to many of us is a good sum of money, hence when someone receives $100,000 as his performance bonus, on top of his basic salary, it is quite an enviable sum to many of the people earning average incomes. Most of us receive our performance bonuses in the leagues of thousands or tens of thousands, hence to receive at least hundreds of thousands of dollars in performance bonuses, one will feel simply great.
