Today is the final trading day of the first quarter for year 2014. Year to this quarter, the STI has performed quite well, I must say. This morning, there was news reported that the two Koreas exchanged some fire, and I think this may shape how stocks perform if the two Koreas continue in these kind of actions. The political situation in Ukraine may be under control but we should see how the Korean peninsula is shaping up. Politics, economical factors and nature are but just some of the factors that shape stocks performance. Singapore being too small a country is a price taker and not a price maker and hence any volatility in the global stocks markets will be felt by Singapore. The only local factors shaping Singapore stocks are mostly governmental interventions in properties, corporate news and sometimes perhaps, we may see a stock like Olam being target ......
