I am not sure but there seems to be a wave of potential privatisation stocks chatter in the stocks markets. I am not sure whether this has to be due to the fact that Singapore being a small market is a price-taker and does not have too much “juicy” things to talk about besides the ongoing probe into some penny stocks, the occasional property cooling measures and not to mention some of the measures by the US, the Europe and China. Yes, once again, there is so much chatter on potential privatisation stocks targets. I believe this time round, the buy-out of Olam by Temasek Holdings and now CapMalls Asia by Capitaland fuels this wave of “privatisation stocks talks”.
