MSCI announces changes to its small cap and micro cap indices effective 30 May 2014…..noticeable among the deletions is Blumont from Small Cap but its been added to the Micro Cap

MSCI announced yesterday that there would be changes to its various index components effective 30 March 2014.  I will only be looking at the changes for the MSCI Small Cap and the MSCI Micro Cap indices here.

The MSCI Small Cap Index covers 6012 stocks in 23 Developed Markets and 21 Emerging markets which consitute about 14% of the free float adjust market capitalisation of the World markets.    The Singapore portion is tiny and MSCI has proposed the following changes to be effective 30 May 2014.
