What is the One Thing Investors do All The Time?

I was sending my sister to work the other day. Along the way she started telling me about her day ahead.  She had four meetings to attend that day, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. After the day is through she would have met with her bosses, the vendors, the staff within her department and colleagues from another department. It was by no means a very uncommon day. Meetings tend to occupy a large part of her working hours. A thought struck me there and then. If she spends so much time in meetings, then how well she does at meetings define how well she does at her job. If meetings define her job, should she not learn how to chair and attend meetings better? Would it not help her to perform at her job more effectively? What then define us as investors?
