How Much Does Your Insurance Cost?
By Turtle Investor  •  September 9, 2014

Short post! Chanced upon quite a number of blog posts recently on insurance and the monthly premiums that people are paying. Thought I’ll chip in with mine –

Currently, I’m covered under what you would call a Term + Critical Illness policy with NTUC Income. I’m a male non-smoker, and I took up the policy when I was 29 years old, for a period of 30 years. This is my core policy, which insures for an amount of $200,000.

My monthly premium is $68.90.

Any time I have more money to spare, I would top up my coverage via Aviva’s SAF Group Insurance, and invest the rest!

Hello there! I am Kevin and the author behind the Turtle Investor blog. At age 37, I hit CPF Full Retirement Sum (FRS) of $176,000 on the last day of 2019, twelve years after graduating from university. I am married and owns a 4-room apartment. I continue to be gainfully employed to build up my portfolio and provide my loved ones with better lives. Leaving everything behind and transitioning to a digital nomad life in Bali remains an option but not something that I’m actively pursuing now 🙂
