stage 4 cancer of the motivation

At the beginning of my trading career I met a bumbling, socially-awkward guy whose pants were worn a little too high. He realised trading was causing him too much pain and one day felt he had enough of the pain so he quit. He was a brilliant fellow though. Could write programmes and speak to computers in code as naturally as I could chat with girls. But trading just wasn't his schtick. Nobody likes feeling like they are sucking at something they applied themselves wholeheartedly to and excitedly told the world about. It's embarrassing. The people who had no courage to try now have a reason to laugh at your attempt and can give themselves a pat on the shoulder to affirm their good decision in not wasting time and energy on the same endeavour they only just saw you fail at. (In my opinion these people are cancers. Naysayers ......
