Bullish momentum to sustain Straits Times Index for the 1st week of 2015

It is great to really start the New Year with a new perspective in looking at the market. As stated in the last Friday’s post, I will be starting the week off with Weekly chart reading so as to be able to clearly identify the underlying trend rather than just reading off the immediate trend. So here we go!

Straits Times Index got a wonderful week last week as market participants said goodbye to 2014 and ushered in 2015. 2014 had been a good year so far with a positive closing. However, many people were beaten by the abrupt volatility which shook many people’s emotions. Because of this, trading volume became thinner last year.
