I read of another letter in the Straits Times which shares the writer’s views of the Singapore Stocks Markets that echoed those expressed by a petition signed by a number of remisiers and retail investors (you can read more about the article here ) My very personal thoughts are that the Singapore Stocks Markets are not easy to trade by retail investors who do not have a good investing plan. Hence while the lot size in the Singapore Stocks Market is reduced to make it easier for retail investors to invest in higher-priced stocks, I really think that for most retail investors, to earn good monies from the Singapore, they adopt a “Buy and Hold” strategy.
I would think a “Buy and Hold” strategy works better when the US still pegged the Dollar to the Gold benchmark. With so much monies printed from the Quantitative Easing of different countries, they ......
