Breadtalk is my first stock purchase. (And a very good one I would say!) When I just started on my investing journey, I had done quite a number of research on different companies which I purchased in the end which I will share more (Breadtalk, Sheng Siong, Chip Eng Seng etc) Whenever I walked into a shopping mall, there was bound to be Breadtalk store hanging around somewhere. So I delved in further, and I was so happy to see that it was listed on the stock exchange! I took a look at the company’s business and found out they are not only operating Breadtalk, they own Ramen’s Play, Food Republic, Din Tai Fung and more! These brand names are everywhere! I looked at their financials, their profits have been steadily increasing from $976k in 2003 to $11.59m in 2011 at a whopping 120%/year average grow. Their P/E was ......
