Many retail investors are full-time employees and hence investing or trading is something that they do “part time”. Though retail investing is, for many, a “part time” affair, I think when it comes to putting one’s monies in shares, we should not have a “part time” attitude. To do well in investing, we should think that we could do investing “full time” which is to reach a level of investing when we can “sack our boss” (I know that this metaphor is well-liked by some), be a full-time investor and earn our income from dividends. I know the above sounds easy though it is not; hence I really think that to do well in investing, one should actually love investing.
