Took profits on my SATS. bought ard 2.9 some months ago and sold ard 3.5 yesterday.I am no trader and my investment horizen can stretch to years and forever even, for some counters.
I bought it because of attractive yield of near 5% and sold because yield has fallen to below its historical average.
I exchanged it for plife.
1) my asset values remain about the same.
2) my cash flow has gone up because I exchanged a lower yield counter for a higher yield one.
3) it might be too simplistic to imagine that its is just a yield game, but other factors like earnings, dividend history, extrapolation of future dividends, asset within companies etc have already been considered.
