DBSS Investment Value and Rental Yield Reviewed by The Edge Property

The Edge Property ran an article this week providing some historical review of DBSS from the point of view as an investment. There is a tendency for people to be taken in that better designs means that people have a willingness to believe it would eventually sell better than the average. The reality could be that, it goes back to the basic principals of value investing: There is a price to pay for a particular intrinsic value. Some times ‘value’ is an illusion. When compared the DBSS build in 2006, and if you sell it today, you make a tidy profit, but so do the HDB that are suppose to look inferior to the DBSS. Comparing the rental yield tells the same story. Rent lower but the cost price is also lower.
