The Edge Property ran an article this week providing some historical review of DBSS from the point of view as an investment. There is a tendency for people to be taken in that better designs means that people have a willingness to believe it would eventually sell better than the average. The reality could be that, it goes back to the basic principals of value investing: There is a price to pay for a particular intrinsic value. Some times ‘value’ is an illusion. When compared the DBSS build in 2006, and if you sell it today, you make a tidy profit, but so do the HDB that are suppose to look inferior to the DBSS.
