Recently there has been some personal stuff going on for me, which has led me to be slightly depressed again, from my relatively normal state. But this isn’t a pity post. As I am being depressed, I realized that a desire for Retail Therapy sets in.
Seems like in these materialistic days, Retail Therapy is rather commonly accepted. In fact, when I was pregnant and told my gynaecologist that I was a bit depressed, he suggested retail therapy. That shows how prevalent this mindset is.
For me, it is also partly a boredom thing. Since being depressed gives me a very low energy level, I don’t have the strength to teach my baby/exercise/do up my scrapbook, which are the activities that I like that generally require higher energy levels.
