If you have been following Singapore Stocks Investing (SSI) long enough, you would have understood that Tom K’s (yup that is myself) focus for year 2015 will be on trading rather than to buy stocks and hold them for the long-term. This stems from my previous experience of buying some fundamental good stocks which dishes out regular dividends but which has since not been performing well and are now below the price which I have bought these stocks. These stocks span from areas like commodities and oil, just some instances of investment sectors which have since languished or are still languishing.
Anyway, a “buy and hold” strategy like above is nothing wrong, in fact one can even buy more of the stocks they intend to buy and hold when their stock prices trend lower. Investors who like the fundamental approach are usually dividend investors as well. There are many advocates ......
