TODAY newspaper published a sponsored article about a young credit card spender on Monday.  You can find the article here. The 28-year-old financial sector analyst is the poster child of today's millennial generation - having a decent job, earning good money, highly social and enjoying what life has to offer. On a deeper thought, this young man seems to be the antithesis of what many financial bloggers, including me, have preached - to be frugal, waste not and want not. Here are some indications:
  1. Spending more than $100 on dining alone per week;
  2. Travelling overseas every quarter; and
  3. Charging every expense to his credit card.
It is illuminating that his expenditure on dining is more than what I spend on groceries for my family in a month.  Travelling on budget is fine, but an overseas trip every quarter seems a tad too many.  And if you are visiting dining ......
