SKILSFUTURE: WHAT IT MEANS TO INVESTORS?

The government has rolled out SkillsFuture, an initiative whereby the government will give Singaporeans some credits regularly, starting from $500 to attend courses. The aim of SkillsFuture is to develop the skills of Singaporeans for the future whereby the industries in the future will require new skills, some of which will be totally different from the skills workers are equipped with today. With SkillsFuture, workers can sign up for the courses that they are interested in. Some investors may wonder whether they can use their credits to fund investment or trading seminars or courses so as to learn trading and investing. I am not sure whether investing or trading courses are allowed, however since skills are really only useful if they are applied to help workers earn incomes and monies, and if trading and investing can help workers achieve that, then they should fit the objectives of SkillsFuture.
