The Value of Money

I came across the image (see below) below in Facebook and just totally resonated with it. I remember how my dad had to work shifts just to put food on the table. I will consider ourselves a low-income family back then. We (siblings and I) could not have any "luxury items" our classmates were having. Those times, it was just merely a cool pencil box or the latest cartoon bag pack or even the latest mechanical pencil from Pilot. At that time, I felt my dad was so calculative. Counting every cent; counting every expense. Growing up, tough times We did not have the best food on the table. I remember being so afraid of eating canned sardine. We just had it too frequently. I also remember not being able to afford a McDonald meal / burger after class in secondary school. My peers could easily just buy a meal. ......

This blog is all about my journey towards my goal for retirement. Living in Singapore has its merit, but it comes at a price of worrying about our retirement.
